Automation Engineer (Rewst/Power Automate)

Salary: ₱130,000 – ₱150,000 per month

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking an Automation Engineer to build and support automation solutions that streamline business processes and improve operational efficiency. The role will work across systems and applications to deliver scalable integrations and workflow automation initiatives.

A strong candidate would have practical experience in at least one of the following:

• Power Automate

• n8n

• Make.com

• Zapier

• Rewst

• Connectwise Asio RPA or Similar workflow automation tool

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, build, and maintain automated workflows in Rewst to streamline service desk, onboarding/offboarding, and client provisioning processes.

• Develop and maintain Power Automate flows connecting Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, and other line-of-business applications.

• Build and manage integrations between PSA/RMM tools, ticketing systems, and third-party platforms using APIs and webhooks.

• Configure and maintain MCP (Model Context Protocol) connectors to enable AI agents to interact with internal tools and client systems.

• Design and implement Claude-powered automations and AI agents to support internal operations, client-facing tools, and service delivery.

• Write and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures to extract, transform, and report on data across internal systems.

• Maintain and version-control a library of reusable automation components, runbooks, and workflow templates.

• Troubleshoot and resolve failures in existing automations, identifying root causes and implementing fixes.

• Document new and existing automations, including build guides and runbooks for non-technical staff.

• Monitor automation performance and reliability, adjusting workflows to reduce manual intervention and error rates.

• Collaborate with service delivery, security, and coordinator teams to identify manual processes suitable for automation.

• Evaluate new automation tools, AI capabilities, and integration methods to improve operational efficiency.

• Manage API credentials, permissions, and access scopes securely across integrated systems.

• Build dashboards and reporting pipelines that surface automation metrics and business KPIs to stakeholders.

• Support onboarding of new automation platforms or major workflow migrations as the toolstack evolves.

Skills Requirements:

Understanding of the following:

• RESTful APIs - verbs, status codes, headers, query params, auth (bearer tokens, OAuth2 client credentials), pagination and rate limiting

• JSON and nested data structures - reshaping payloads, handling nulls and missing keys, knowing whether a value is a string or an object

• Control flow - for-each loop, conditional branching, sub-workflow decomposition, early exits, idempotency (what happens if it runs twice)

• Error handling - no silent failures, logging, surfacing exceptions rather than swallowing them

• PowerShell - enough to write and debug a command block and parse the output

• Database / SQL - enough to competently view data structures and write simple statements
  Webhooks

Nice to have:

• MCP and AI tooling

• Python/JS/other scripting language

• Microsoft Graph - OData filters, permission scopes, and knowing when to drop back to Exchange Online PowerShell

• ConnectWise Manage API - conditions syntax, patch operations, ticket and time entry structures

• Git or general version control discipline
  Jinja2 templating

• Multi-tenant / GDAP context - workflows running across many tenants with differing licence states and config drift
