Automation Engineer (SL)

Develop software applications for automated machines, including machine control, robot control and vision inspection systems.

Participate in the installation, commissioning, qualification and validation of automation control systems.

Support the design and development of electrical control circuits for machine and full-line automation systems.

Manage automation projects or assigned sub-modules within larger projects, ensuring timely delivery of project requirements.

Perform machine setup, testing, troubleshooting and system optimisation.

Provide on-site and field technical support for automation equipment.

Travel overseas when required to support project installation, commissioning, troubleshooting and customer requirements.

Communicate project progress, key issues, risks and other critical matters in a timely manner to management, vendors and relevant stakeholders.

Investigate and resolve technical issues relating to equipment, processes, materials and automation systems.

Follow up on identified issues to ensure timely and effective resolution.

Experience in developing high-performance machine vision algorithms will be an added advantage.
