Automation Engineer

Industrialization projects

• Carry out pre-studies and definition studies for assembly and control processes, in compliance with the Somfy Production System.
• Draw up specifications for new equipment and automated equipment programs.
• Run supplier consultations and validate technical choices, particularly automation-related aspects.
• Lead the functional analysis and the organic analysis of automation.
• Validate electrical diagrams and challenge the risk analysis.
• Ensure follow-up of equipment realization — from development and acceptance at special-machine suppliers through to start-up and qualification on site.

Continuous improvement & production support

• Carry out modifications to PLC, drive and HMI programs, and the associated electrical modifications and documentation.
• Program and optimize robot cycles.
• Create and adjust product control cycles according to quality specifications.
• Pilot the modifications required to optimize assembly processes and improve equipment reliability.
• Provide technical support to users and to the maintenance team.

OT / Industrial IT (site bridgehead)

• Operate, maintain and secure the site's OT infrastructure (industrial PCs, iBox / Linux edge devices, industrial networks).
• Administer Linux-based industrial systems (services, users, scripting, updates).
• Analyze equipment and application logs to diagnose faults and recurring issues.
• Analyze industrial communications (Profibus/Profinet, OPC-UA, MES exchanges) to troubleshoot recipe download and results-upload problems.
• Act as the local relay of the Central OT team for connectivity, data-to-cloud and cybersecurity topics (remote access, network segmentation).

Business / methods contribution

• Collaborate in product development through the definition of industrial constraints.
• Deploy Group standards and contribute to their improvement (functional standards, work methodologies, feedback).
• Practice benchmarking and technology watch; animate the automation business locally.

Education

Associate degree (3-year college / 大专) or Bachelor's degree (本科) in Automation, Electrical Engineering or Industrial IT

Experience

More than 3 years, ideally in special-machine design, assembly & control processes, or industrial IT/OT

Languages

Mandarin (working proficiency for the site); English B2 mandatory for France/Group collaboration

Software & technologies

• SIEMENS Step7 and TIA Portal; GP Pro (Proface) HMI; Schneider environment.
• Profibus and Profinet networks.
• Variable speed drives and motion control systems.
• PID control, Safety environment and risk analysis.

OT / Industrial IT (required)

• Linux system administration
• Log analysis and troubleshooting on industrial systems.
• Industrial network and communication analysis (Profibus/Profinet, OPC-UA, MES; packet/trace reading a plus).
• Industrial IT / MES: recipe download, results upload, signal handling.
• Understanding of IT/OT boundaries, network segmentation and industrial cybersecurity basics is a strong plus.
