Automation Engineer

Tasks and responsibilities: Designing, implementing, and maintaining automated systems and tools to support various IT operations, including infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, monitoring, deployment, and incident response (products including VMware, Azure/AWS/Google Cloud, Windows Server and Linux Red Hat) Analyzing existing IT processes and workflows, identifying areas for improvement, proposing and developing automation strategies to increase efficiency, reduce errors, and enhance scalability Writing scripts and developing code using programming languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash to automate routine tasks, data processing, and system integration Utilizing configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible) and infrastructure-As-code (IaC) frameworks (e.g., Terraform, VMware ARIA Automation) to automate the provisioning, configuration, and management of IT infrastructure components Recommending and implementing IT best practices Implementing changes according to ICT change management procedures Providing 2nd line support to other IT teams and coordinating with 3rd line of support Updating the technical documentation and operating procedures Evaluating and implementing IT security standards Participation in coordination and project meetings Other specific duties aligned to profile as assigned by supervisor
