Automation Expert for System Administration

About the role

Would you like to join a team that plays a key role in a state-of-the-art and GMP-regulated production environment? In your role, you will be part of a team responsible for GxP-critical EMS systems as well as several BMS systems across buildings and departments at the Frankfurt Bio Campus. You will thus make a central contribution to the secure supply of life-saving insulin products.

Your task as a system administrator will be the maintenance, servicing, and participation in the renewal of systems and system components. In your function, you will administer GxP- and business-critical systems and system components and support migrations and system upgrades. Your area of responsibility ranges from cyclical calibrations and completing GxP documents to troubleshooting system malfunctions and handling IT security issues. As part of the team, you will support several hundred system users across various platforms and provide assistance with usage-related questions.

Main responsibilities:

  • Administration of control systems (building management systems) and monitoring systems.
  • Maintenance and servicing of servers, controllers, and peripherals
  • (sensors and actuators) including IT security.
  • Organization of calibrations for quality-relevant measuring points
  • Independent and autonomous organization and coordination of partner companies
  • Point of contact for system questions and system malfunctions, coordination and execution
  • of measures to resolve process and system malfunctions
  • IT/network technology: Administration and maintenance of network infrastructures
  • Setting up and configuring Windows systems, automation systems
  • Ensuring compliance with Cybersecurity & DataIntegrity requirements
  • Coordinating service providers: Managing and monitoring external service providers
  • Ensuring the maintenance of the qualified facility status
  • Interface to partner departments (Quality, APUs, global Engineering, external suppliers)
  • Compliance with HSE and GMP requirements
  • Safe and GMP-compliant operation of facilities and systems
  • Application of sound knowledge in the field of building automation as well as
  • Electrotechnical knowledge for facility and system expansions or troubleshooting

About you

Experience

  • At least 2 years of professional experience as an electrician/automation specialist (preferably in a GxP environment)
  • Good knowledge in the field of automation (network; PLC; I&C; control cabinet equipment)
  • Education
  • Completed vocational training as an electronics technician for automation technology / electronics technician for industrial engineering or comparable
  • Further training as an automation technician or master electrician (Bachelor / Master) is desirable
  • Social skills / Technical skills
  • Good knowledge of Office applications
  • Knowledge of process engineering and room conditioning in a GxP environment
  • High level of reliability, independence, teamwork, as well as flexibility regarding working hours
  • Willingness to work weekends and join the on-call service
  • Languages
  • German: Fluent
  • English: Basic knowledge
