Position Details

• Experience: 47 years of relevant QA/automation testing experience
• Location: Bangalore
• Work model: Hybrid, approximately 2 days per week from office

Primary Skills - Cucumber, REST Assured, Java, Automation Framework

Secondary Skills - Splunk, AWS, CI/CD

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend test cases and API tests
• Build and maintain automation frameworks
• Test planning, execution, and release validation
• Work within CI/CD environments
• Use application/Jenkins logs and observability tools for automation and troubleshooting
• Work with AI-assisted development/testing tools

Mandatory / Core Skills

• Strong hands-on automation testing experience
• Backend/API testing and automation experience
• Java or Python; Java is strongly preferred
• CI/CD experience
• Performance and load testing is mandatory
• Candidates should have approximately 12+ years of hands-on performance/load testing experience
• Candidates must be able to explain performance test setup/preparation, execution, and analysis of results
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Framework / Tool Expectations

• Cucumber and REST Assured are highly preferred as the current frameworks are aligned to these technologies
• BlazeMeter is currently used by the team for performance testing; however, candidates with strong hands-on experience in other performance/load-testing tools can also be considered
• Splunk itself is not mandatory. Experience with equivalent observability/logging tools is acceptable, provided candidates have practical experience sourcing and analyzing application/Jenkins logs for their automation work
• Docker is not mandatory

Good-to-Have Skills

• AWS exposure is preferred because the applications are hosted on AWS; it is not mandatory
• Grafana / Datadog
• Playwright
• JavaScript
• Exposure to AI-assisted development/testing tools

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain automated UI/API/backend tests.
• Develop reusable automation frameworks.
• Collaborate with engineering teams.
• Participate in test planning, execution, and release validation.
• Integrate automation into CI/CD.
• Splunk and other observability tools.
• Use AI-assisted tools to improve productivity.
• Contribute to QA process improvements.
• Own QA automation deliverables for assigned features.
• Mentor less experienced team members as appropriate.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field.
• 47 years of Quality Engineering/Test Automation experience.
• Experience with Cucumber, REST Assured or equivalent.
• Load and performance testing.
• Mock and Contract Testing.
• Java or Python programming.
• Experience with APIs, cloud platforms, Docker and CI/CD.
• Experience with AI-assisted engineering tools.
• Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Playwright, Cypress, Javascript experience
• SaaS testing experience.
• Performance or reliability testing exposure.
• Knowledge of Grafana, Prometheus, or Datadog.
• Exposure to AI/ML-enabled applications.
