Automation QA Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Automation QA Engineer to join our team and play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our software products. In this position, you will design, build, and maintain automated test suites that facilitate the delivery of reliable software at a faster pace. You will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and manual QA engineers to embed quality into every stage of the software delivery pipeline. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain scalable end-to-end test automation frameworks using tools such as Selenium or Playwright. - Write clear, maintainable, and reusable automated tests for web applications and APIs. - Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI. - Analyze test failures, identify root causes, and work to reduce flaky tests. - Collaborate with developers and product owners to review requirements and define effective test strategies. - Perform API testing and validate backend services to ensure functionality and performance. - Create and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test data. - Track, report, and verify defects using tools like Jira. - Contribute to code reviews for test code and promote automation best practices within the team. - Mentor junior QA engineers and assist in improving team testing processes. Required Skills: - Hands-on expertise with Selenium WebDriver or Playwright, with experience in both being a plus. - Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript. - Familiarity with test frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, PyTest, Mocha, or Playwright Test. - Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), and Agile/Scrum methodologies. - Experience with API testing tools like Postman or REST Assured. - Working knowledge of Git and CI/CD tools. - Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills, along with good written and verbal communication abilities.
