Automation Software Engineer (Automation, API, CI/CD)

Your new role
You'll join a Cybersecurity Engineering team focused on building automation and developer tooling that improves the adoption and usability of security solutions across a large, complex technology estate. The team's mission is to help engineers embed security best practices into their day-to-day development activities with minimal friction.

• Automation Software Engineer
• £650 Per Day Inside IR35
• 6 months contract
• Hybrid

Key responsibilities will include

• Automating the onboarding and integration of security and code-scanning tools.
• Building and maintaining integrations across multiple systems, APIs and data sources.
• Improving developer workflows and the overall developer experience.
• Developing scalable, maintainable automation solutions.
• Working with CI/CD tooling and development platforms to streamline security adoption.
• Solving complex integration and compatibility challenges across development environments.
• Collaborating with Software Engineers and Security Engineers in a distributed team environment.

What you'll need to succeed

• Strong Software Engineering & Automation experience.
• Python or similar scripting language expertise.
• API & Systems Integration experience.
• CI/CD, Developer Tooling & Automation knowledge.
• Ability to work independently and solve complex technical challenges.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience working with multiple data sources and building scalable solutions.
