Automation Specialist
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize plant automation systems to ensure maximum equipment reliability and production efficiency
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to PLCs, HMI systems, SCADA systems, variable frequency drives (VFDs), sensors, instrumentation, and control networks
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on automation and electrical control systems
- Execute control system upgrades, modifications, and continuous improvement projects to enhance plant performance
- Analyze equipment downtime and implement corrective actions to improve plant availability and reliability
- Support commissioning, testing, and start-up activities for new equipment and automation projects
- Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical, and Operations teams to improve manufacturing processes
- Develop and update technical documentation, electrical drawings, control logic diagrams, maintenance procedures, and system backup records.
- Manage and coordinate with external vendors, contractors, and equipment suppliers regarding automation-related activities
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company standards, and maintenance best practices.
- Support the company's digitalization and Industry 4.0 initiatives, including data monitoring, process automation, and smart manufacturing projects
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or a related discipline
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in industrial automation, preferably within manufacturing, steel, heavy industry, process plants, or similar environments
- Hands-on experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting:
o Siemens S7
o Allen-Bradley
