Automation Technician
Summary
Maintain and repair automated production machinery, PLCs, HMIs, and sensors in a manufacturing environment.
Job Description:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on automated production machinery.
- Troubleshoot and repair PLC systems, HMIs, sensors, motors, conveyors, and electrical control panels.
- Install, test, calibrate, and commission automation equipment.
- Monitor machine performance and recommend improvements to enhance production efficiency.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and prepare service reports.
- Support production operations by responding promptly to equipment breakdowns.
- Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH), food safety, and company policies.
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in industrial automation, manufacturing, or food production.
- Knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, sensors, electrical controls, pneumatic systems, and automated machinery.
- Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willing to work overtime, shifts, or weekends when required.
