Automation Tester - Banking Domain

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Automation Tester with strong expertise in test automation and banking/financial services applications. The candidate should be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment and join immediately or within a short notice period.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain automated test scripts for banking applications.
• Prepare and execute test scenarios, test cases, regression and integration testing.
• Automate functional, regression and end-to-end testing using appropriate automation frameworks.
• Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into effective test cases.
• Perform API testing and validate backend/database data.
• Identify, document, track and validate defects through closure.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers and other QA teams.
• Participate in SIT, UAT and production validation activities.
• Ensure test coverage, quality standards and timely delivery.
• Support continuous improvement of automation frameworks and testing processes.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in Software Testing / QA Automation.
• Strong Banking / Financial Services domain experience is mandatory.
• Hands-on experience with Selenium / Java / Python or similar automation tools.
• Experience in API testing using tools such as Postman / REST Assured.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and database testing.
• Experience with TestNG / JUnit, Maven and automation frameworks.
• Good understanding of Agile / Scrum methodology.
• Experience with JIRA, Git and CI/CD tools will be an advantage.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, defect management and test methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.

Candidate Preference

• 7+ years overall QA/Automation experience
• Banking domain experience is mandatory
• Immediate joiner / candidates serving short notice preferred
• Candidates who can join immediately will be given priority.
