Summary
Senior (6+ years) test automation engineer at IT services firm CGI, building automated UI, API, and database tests in Java using frameworks like Selenium/Playwright and REST Assured/Karate, wired into CI/CD pipelines, with shift-left and AI-assisted testing practices in Agile teams. Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of hands-on test automation experience at scale.
- Strong shift-left testing and SDLC knowledge, with practical use of AI tools in testing.
- Proficiency in at least two UI/web frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Robot Framework) and one API framework (e.g., Postman, REST Assured, Karate).
- Strong Java programming skills and advanced SQL proficiency (Microsoft SQL Server; MongoDB is an asset).
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD platforms (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, UCD, Helios) and build tools (Maven or Gradle).
- Experience on Agile or iterative waterfall projects.
Preferred Qualifications
- Application monitoring tools (Dynatrace, AppDynamics)
- Trade 360 and Kyriba
- Test and source management tools (JIRA, Confluence, qTest, HP ALM, Git)
- IBM MQ and asynchronous messaging patterns
- Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science, or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in at least two UI/web frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Robot Framework) and one API framework (e.g., Postman, REST Assured, Karate).
- Strong Java programming skills and advanced SQL proficiency (Microsoft SQL Server; MongoDB is an asset).
