Automation Tester - Market Surveillance / Financial Services

The Market Surveillance Technology team is responsible for developing and supporting applications within the Financial Services/Markets domain. The role focuses on Quality Engineering and test automation for applications built on Microservices Architecture, ensuring application quality, reliability, and data integrity. You need to have a strong hands-on experience in test automation, microservices testing, and Financial Services, preferably within the Markets domain.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts and automation frameworks.
- Develop and implement automated testing solutions for applications based on Microservices Architecture.
- Perform functional, integration, regression, API, and end-to-end testing.
- Validate service-to-service interactions, data flows, and application integrations within a microservices environment.
- Develop and execute API automation using appropriate automation tools and frameworks.
- Perform database and data validation testing where required.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous quality practices.
- Identify, analyze, document, and track defects through to resolution.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, product owners, and other stakeholders in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Contribute to improving automation coverage, framework capabilities, test efficiency, and overall Quality Engineering practices.
SKILLS
Must have
- 8+ years of overall experience in Software Testing / Quality Engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience in Test Automation.
- Strong experience testing applications built on Microservices Architecture.
- Strong programming experience in Java and/or Python.
- Hands-on experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, or similar.
- Strong experience in API Testing and API Automation using tools/frameworks such as Rest Assured, Postman, or similar.
- Good experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices, including tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar.
- Good hands-on experience with Git/version control.
- Strong understanding of Quality Engineering and automation best practices.
- Good understanding and hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Financial Services domain experience is mandatory, with Markets domain experience preferred.
Nice to have
• Experience in Capital Markets, Trading Platforms, Exchange Systems, or Market Surveillance. • Good understanding of Equities, Derivatives, Fixed Income, and/or Commodity Markets. • Knowledge of Order Lifecycle Management and Trade Lifecycle. • Understanding of Trade Surveillance and detection of trading anomalies. • Exposure to regulatory and compliance-related systems or applications. • Experience working with large-scale financial or market data.
