Automation tester (1-3 yrs) in Navi Mumbai/Mumbai, hired via Nxtwave for a client in banking/NBFC/insurance. Day to day: functional, API, performance and security testing with Postman/SoapUI/REST Assured, JMeter, OWASP ZAP/Burp Suite, CI/CD via GitLab, plus AI tools like Claude; Java/SQL basics required.
Role & responsibilities
Technical Skills
- API Testing: Hands-on experience in functional testing of REST and SOAP APIs using Postman, Newman, SoapUI, Ready API, and REST Assured.
- Performance Testing: Experience in performance and load testing using JMeter.
- Security Testing: Knowledge of the OWASP Top 10, with hands-on penetration testing using OWASP ZAP and Burp Suite.
- CI/CD: Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using GitLab.
- AI Skills: Skilled in using AI tools such as Claude, including the Postman connector, SoapUI test automation skill, and creating test artifacts (spreadsheets, Word documents).
Preferred candidate profile
1-2 years
- Adept in functional testing and reporting defects.
- Strong experience in writing test plans, cases and scenarios
- Well versed with functional and stability testing.
- Functional testing, regression testing and compatibility testing on apps and websites.
- Corporate Banking, NBFC, and insurance domain expertise
- Payments, assets, Cards, LMS, and LOS testing knowledge/experience.
- Basic knowledge on Java, SQL, any automation tool is required
