Job Title: Selenium Automation Tester (5+ Years Experience)

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Automation Tester with around 5 years of experience in test automation and quality assurance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of web applications. The role requires strong expertise in Selenium WebDriver, automation frameworks, and CI/CD integration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts using Selenium WebDriver, Java & Python.

  • Build and enhance test automation frameworks for web applications, preferentially in Playwright.

  • Execute automated and manual test cases to ensure software quality.

  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA teams to understand requirements and test scenarios.

  • Identify, document, and track defects and issues using defect tracking tools.

  • Integrate automation scripts with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins or similar tools).

  • Perform regression testing, functional testing, and integration testing.

  • Maintain and improve test coverage and automation efficiency.

  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning and stand-ups.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in software testing and automation.

  • Strong hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver.

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C# for automation scripting.

  • Experience with test automation frameworks (TestNG, JUnit, or similar).

  • Experience with BDD frameworks like Cucumber (preferred).

  • Knowledge of API testing using tools like Postman or Rest Assured.

  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, or Maven.

  • Experience in defect tracking tools such as JIRA or Bugzilla.

  • Understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter or similar).

  • Exposure to cloud-based testing environments.

  • Knowledge of Docker or container-based test environments.

  • ISTQB or other software testing certifications.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
