Automotive IT Support Specialist — Dealership Operations
Summary
An on-site IT Support Specialist at Krause Auto Group provides day-to-day tech support for Myrtle Beach-area dealership staff — troubleshooting Windows PCs, Microsoft 365, printers, Wi-Fi, and phone systems, preparing employee devices, and escalating complex server/network/DMS issues to the systems team.
Employment Type: Full-Time, On-Site
Compensation: $50,000–$60,000 annually, based on experience
- Provide in-person and remote support for employees across assigned dealership locations.
- Diagnose and resolve common Windows PC, laptop, printer, peripheral, Wi-Fi, software, and connectivity issues.
- Prepare, deploy, replace, and maintain computers, monitors, phones, and other IT equipment.
- Support employee onboarding and offboarding by preparing devices, completing assigned access tasks, and recovering equipment.
- Assist with Microsoft 365 user support, including Outlook, Teams, passwords, MFA, and basic account-access issues.
- Support desk phones, mobile devices, and related phone-system requests.
- Create and maintain clear ticket notes, asset records, inventory records, and basic technical documentation.
- Follow established IT security standards, including access-control, device-handling, and escalation procedures.
- Identify recurring issues and escalate patterns or higher-impact incidents promptly.
- Assist the Systems Team with local projects, site moves, device refreshes, and technology rollouts.
- Two or more years of hands-on IT support, desktop support, help desk, or similar technical experience.
- Strong working knowledge of Windows PCs, Microsoft 365, Outlook, printers, hardware troubleshooting, and user support.
- Experience with device setup, software deployment, account support, and basic networking concepts.
- Comfortable working directly with non-technical users in a fast-paced business environment.
- Organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple requests while communicating clearly.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally between assigned dealership locations as needed.
- Experience supporting automotive dealerships, multi-site organizations, or other high-volume operational environments.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Intune, Entra ID, Active Directory, endpoint-management tools, or ticketing systems.
- Experience supporting VoIP phone systems.
- CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, or comparable technical certification.
