Automotive Mechanic/Technician

Dearth Automotive in Monroe is accepting applications for our Automotive Mechanic/Technician position! This position is ideal for an individual with previous automotive experience, excellent communication skills, and excellent customer service skills. Responsibilities:

• Perform work specified on repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership policies
• Test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems (electrical and mechanical)

Primary Duties:

• Verify vehicle serviceability by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems
• Complies with state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety and combustion control standards
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor to keep customers informed with the most up to date information
• Maintain vehicle records by recording service and repairs
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
• Keep supplies ready by inventorying stock, placing orders, and verifying receipt
• Maintain shop equipment through troubleshooting and preforming preventive maintenance
• Other duties as assigned
