Automotive Sales Manager

Independence Mazda is a fast-growing dealership with lofty goals and a clear mission: we are actively building the culture, the team, and the process to become Charlotte's number one Mazda dealership. Under new leadership and in a prime location, we operate with a velocity mindset and a deep commitment to the "Omotenashi" spirit—treating every guest as a unique individual. If you want to be part of a team making major waves in the market, this is where you belong.
Position Overview
We are looking for a dynamic, high-energy Sales Manager who leads from the front, not from behind a desk. This is a hands-on leadership role for a servant leader who genuinely thrives on working the showroom floor, mentoring staff, and engaging directly with clients.
At Independence Mazda your primary focus will be driving execution on our high-volume internet traffic and incoming digital leads, ensuring lightning-fast response times and high-quality, personalized outreach. You will be responsible for changing a culture to one of fun, accountability, and immense success.
Key Responsibilities
  • Floor & Lead Management: Spend your day active on the showroom floor and working the CRM (eLead) to maximize incoming internet traffic and showroom ups.
  • Team Development: Serve as a dedicated mentor and trainer. Conduct daily coaching sessions to onboard new hires and elevate the existing sales team.
  • Process Execution: Champion our process workflows, ensuring internet leads receive rapid, high-frequency, multi-channel follow-up (calls, emails, texts) until two-way communication is established.
  • Culture Builder: Infuse the showroom with positive energy, keeping the work environment fun, competitive, and highly successful.
  • Deal Structuring: Work closely with the Variable Team to structure profitable deals quickly while providing a transparent, elite customer experience.
What We Are Looking For
  • The Leader: A servant leader with a growth mindset who wants to advance their career with a rapidly expanding automotive group.
  • The Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years of automotive sales management experience. Comfort managing digital workflows and internet lead pipelines is critical.
  • The Mindset: A proactive professional who believes clients want to buy from happy, energetic people. You must be comfortable picking up the phone to help a salesperson close a deal.
  • The Standards: A sharp communicator who demands excellence, enforces a high-activity baseline, and holds the team accountable to quick lead-response standards.
What We Offer
  • Highly competitive pay plan with massive bonus potential based on volume and performance.
  • A clear, defined path for career growth and partnership opportunities within a growing dealer network.
  • Comprehensive benefits package (Health, Vision, Dental, and paid time off).
  • A supportive, fast-paced environment where your voice matters and success is celebrated.
