Automotive Service Advisor
Bolt Auto Care | Gainesville, Texas
Build customer relationships. Produce results. Grow your responsibility.
Bolt Auto Care is looking for a personable, motivated, and accountable Automotive Service Advisor who enjoys helping customers, selling valuable services, and working toward clear goals.
Your primary responsibility is to help customers make informed maintenance and repair decisions while producing profitable sales for your service team. You’ll guide customers through the service process, coordinate with technicians, and follow through on the commitments you make.
We’re looking for someone who wants to become excellent at the advisor role and build the skills to take on greater responsibility.
What You’ll Do
Welcome customers, listen carefully to their concerns, and document accurate repair orders.
Review vehicle history, inspections, and technician findings to identify maintenance and repair needs.
Prepare accurate estimates and present recommendations clearly, explaining the benefits, priorities, pricing, and available options.
Ask for the sale respectfully, answer questions honestly, and obtain customer authorization before work begins.
Work toward individual and store sales goals while maintaining customer trust and protecting profitability.
Coordinate with technicians to plan work, communicate priorities, and keep vehicles moving through the shop.
Keep customers informed about progress, changes, delays, and completion times.
Follow up on estimates, recommended services, and future maintenance needs using our established processes.
Maintain complete records of recommendations, approvals, customer conversations, and next steps.
Support fellow advisors and help care for their customers when coverage is needed.
Participate in regular coaching, review your results, and follow through on improvement commitments.
How You’ll Grow: Produce → Lead → Own
At Bolt Auto Care, growth comes through demonstrated performance, sound judgment, and helping others succeed.
This is progression through capability and contribution. Broader leadership and management opportunities may develop as you demonstrate that you can produce results, lead people, and sustain improvements.
What Success Looks Like
Customers understand their options and feel confident in their decisions.
You meet established sales and profitability expectations through honest recommendations and consistent follow-up.
Repair orders, estimates, authorizations, and customer updates are accurate and timely.
You work well with technicians and fellow advisors to deliver a dependable service experience.
You accept coaching, take responsibility for results, and make measurable improvements.
You contribute to the success of the whole store while remaining accountable for your own performance.
What We’re Looking For
Strong communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills.
Comfort presenting recommendations, asking for the sale, and working toward measurable goals.
Good organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
Reliability, initiative, and a willingness to take responsibility.
A calm, professional approach when customers or coworkers need help.
Basic computer skills and the ability to learn shop management and customer communication software.
A willingness to learn automotive systems, maintenance, and repair processes.
An interest in developing leadership skills and helping others succeed.
Automotive service advising or sales experience is helpful, but we will consider candidates with strong results in customer service, retail, hospitality, or other sales roles. You should be willing to learn the technical side of the business and comfortable being accountable for sales and service results.
Pay, Benefits, and Development
Competitive pay based on experience and demonstrated ability.
Performance bonus opportunities tied to individual production and store results.
Training, regular coaching, and clear performance expectations.
Opportunities to earn greater responsibility through demonstrated results.
