Automotive Service Advisor
Gresham Ford in Gresham, OR is looking for an Automotive Service Advisor to join its service department. Advisors are the link between customers and technicians, which means listening closely, scheduling appointments, arranging loaner vehicles, and explaining repairs in plain terms. The right candidate has prior service advisor, assistant lane manager, or service consultant experience and a record of strong customer satisfaction.

What You'll Do
- Welcome customers promptly and collect their contact and vehicle information
- Record each vehicle symptom exactly as the customer describes it
- Recommend maintenance based on the age, mileage, and service history of the vehicle
- Build a complete and accurate estimate for labor and parts
- Arrange loaner vehicles and verify insurance details before service is scheduled
- Set a follow-up time so customers know when to expect an update
- Track each vehicle's progress through the day and keep customers updated along the way
- Check that the final invoice matches the work performed on the repair order
- Walk customers through completed work and charges at pickup
What We're Looking For
- Prior experience as a service advisor, assistant lane manager, or service consultant
- Minimum 1 year in a service department
- Previous Ford dealership experience a plus
- Proven record of exceptional customer satisfaction
- Knowledge of automobiles and the ability to identify problems quickly
- Computer skills and willingness to learn new programs
- Ability to learn new technology, repair procedures, and service specifications
- Energetic, positive, and friendly with personal and professional integrity
- Desire for a long-term career with a growing organization
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and stay on your feet for extended periods
- High school diploma or equivalent required
