Huffines Job Description:
The Service Team Lead / Shop Foreman is responsible for overseeing daily shop operations, supporting technicians, and ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality repairs. This role serves as a key leader within the service department, providing technical guidance, maintaining productivity, and upholding dealership standards for customer satisfaction.
Huffines Job Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support service technicians in daily operations
- Assign and prioritize work to ensure timely and efficient job completion
- Provide hands-on technical assistance and diagnostics when needed
- Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer and dealership quality standards
- Monitor shop productivity, efficiency, and turnaround times
- Assist with complex repairs and troubleshooting
- Communicate with Service Advisors regarding job status and updates
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized shop environment
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and manufacturer guidelines
- Support training and development of technicians
Huffines Job Requirements:
- Previous supervisory or team lead experience
- Minimum 3+ years previous experience as service technician (Required)
- Some post-secondary automotive training
- High school diploma or GED
- Demonstrated ability to work well with others and be a team player
- Results-oriented self-starter
- Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to delivering world-class customer service
- Demonstrated desire to learn new processes and adapt quickly
- Maintain a professional appearance at all times
- Proficiency in computer skills
