Huffines Express Lube Team Lead Job Description:
The Huffines Express Lube Team Lead is responsible for and directs all Express Lube team member activities in the completion of services. The Team Lead is considered an Express Lube service subject matter expert and thoroughly understands the scope and scale of all related express lube work.
Huffines Express Lube Team Lead Job Responsibilities:
- Establish and build strong working relationships and communication with the service advisors and service drive manager
- Reports all lube service findings to service advisors
- Coordinates work completion as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy following all dealership and factory standards
- Develops and adheres to strict record-keeping practices for all completed multi-point inspections
- Quality controls all work performed prior to releasing the vehicle back to the service advisor
- Oil level checks, engine start, no leaks verification, lug nuts tight, fluid level checks, tire pressures, etc.
- Tracks and implements express teammate training
- Coordinates the schedule for Express team on a weekly basis
- Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts
- Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor
- Keeps abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins and completes specified training
- Maintains and is accountable for all dealership-owned tools and manuals
- Adheres to all associated federal, state, and local regulations
- Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner
- Performs other duties as assigned
Huffines Express Lube Team Lead Job Requirements:
- Previous supervisory or team lead experience
- Minimum 2 years previous experience as lube technician (Required)
- Some post-secondary automotive training
- High school diploma or GED
- Demonstrated ability to work well with others and be a team player
- Results-oriented self-starter
- Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to delivering world-class customer service
- Demonstrated desire to learn new processes and adapt quickly
- Maintain a professional appearance at all times
- Proficiency in computer skills
