Position Schedule / Shift: Service center hours are Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m.–6:00 p.m., and Saturday, 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. Schedule and shift assignments will depend on the position.

Position Summary:

As an Automotive Technician B, you’ll perform a variety of vehicle repairs and maintenance services, including brakes, suspension, diagnostics, and routine inspections. This hands-on role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot and repair vehicles efficiently. Working as part of a team, you’ll help ensure customers receive safe, reliable vehicles and high-quality service. Key Responsibilities:

  • In an efficient and productive manner, performs automotive repairs, adjustments and maintenance procedures as outlined on repair order for which technician is trained.

  • Oil changes, tire replacement and repairs, general maintenance repairs, fluid exchanges, alignments, brake services, advanced repair and maintenance services, etc. are expected to be learned and performed.

  • Work with, and train lower level technicians.

  • Drives vehicles into service bay, prepares them for and completes digital vehicle inspection.

  • Test drives vehicles and prepares vehicle for delivery to customer after necessary repairs and maintenance.

  • Maintains cleanliness of shop and work areas, performs other duties as necessary.

Qualifications:

Required

  • High School diploma, GED, and/or technical school graduate/certification

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license

  • 3 years minimum experience repairing vehicles at a dealership or automotive center.

  • Knowledge of automotive and/or truck systems, tools, and technical resources and training to independently perform a variety of basic to complex repairs and maintenance of automobile and truck vehicles.

  • Understand and consistently demonstrate the proper use of equipment and tools used in such repair and maintenance, as well as the need to maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

  • Ability to consistently provide exceptional customer service and improve customer service score

  • Ability to prioritize and deliver work on time.

  • Ability and basic leadership skills to mentor and train lower-level Technicians to help them be successful.

Preferred

  • ASE certifications (or their equivalent): A4-Suspension & Steering, A5-Brakes, plus 2 other ASE certifications

  • State inspection certificate, where applicable

  • AC 609 Certification

  • Must have own tools appropriate for their skill level for use in the Center.

Work Environment:

  • May experience loud noises and odors intermittently in the shop environment.

  • This position involves standing, walking, and normal physical mobility, including reaching, grabbing, lifting, and carrying automotive parts and equipment (averaging up to approximately 80 pounds in weight)

  • Must be able to work in the heat, as some locations do not have air conditioning.

  • Must be able to maintain working on your feet in a concrete facility for the entire work shift.

Compensation

  • Technician B’s will earn a competitive salary of $40,000 - $85,000+ annually with a potential weekly production bonus.

Time Off & Leave

  • Paid Time Off (PTO): Accrual-based, increases with tenure, eligible at 90 days of employment.

  • Full-time new employees will receive up to 12 PTO days annually; accrual based on start date and may include additional PTO based on role and/or state & local requirements.

  • Part-time employee PTO hours are calculated based upon the standard weekly hours the employee is scheduled to work and will accrue at a minimum of 3 hours per month.

  • Paid Holidays:

  • Full-time employees are eligible for 10 company-paid holidays annually, in addition to 1 mental health day, 2 floating holidays and 1 volunteer day. Holidays vary by business unit schedules.

  • Part-time employees are eligible for 8 company-paid holidays annually, in addition to 1 mental health day and 2 floating holidays. Holidays vary by business unit schedules.

  • Paid leave programs, including parental, bereavement, jury duty, and military leave.
