About the Opportunity

Honda of Princeton is seeking a skilled, dependable, and motivated Automotive Technician to join our service department. The ideal candidate takes pride in quality workmanship, accurate diagnostics, and efficient vehicle repairs while delivering the level of service customers expect from a Honda dealership.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and mechanical repairs on customer vehicles.
• Diagnose vehicle concerns and identify necessary repairs using appropriate tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Complete oil changes, tire rotations, brake services, fluid services, and other scheduled maintenance.
• Perform repairs in accordance with Honda procedures, manufacturer specifications, and dealership quality standards.
• Document work performed, diagnostic findings, and recommended repairs accurately.
• Communicate repair findings and additional service needs to service advisors.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Use shop equipment and tools properly and follow established safety procedures.
• Complete assigned work efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality.
• Participate in ongoing technical training and manufacturer-related education as appropriate.
• Work collaboratively with service advisors, parts personnel, and fellow technicians to support efficient department operations.

Qualifications

• Previous automotive repair or maintenance experience preferred.
• Automotive technical training or relevant hands-on experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of vehicle systems, maintenance procedures, and mechanical diagnostics.
• Ability to use automotive tools, shop equipment, and diagnostic technology.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality repairs.
• Good communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced dealership service environment.
• Commitment to workplace safety and professional conduct.
• Honda experience and Honda manufacturer training are a plus.
• CDK experience is a plus.
• Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record, consistent with position requirements.
