AV Support Coordinator
Salary: $3,600 – $4,000 per month
Role Summary
The AV Support Coordinator (Events) is responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of all event-related audio-visual needs. This role contributes to the overall success of live and virtual events, including webinars, conferences, and internal meetings, by coordinating AV equipment, setup, and troubleshooting. The coordinator works closely with event teams, presenters, and external vendors to deliver seamless technical support and ensure a high-quality experience for all attendees.
Key Responsibilities
AV Setup & Technical OperationsSet up, test, and operate audiovisual equipment including cameras, lighting, audio systems, projection, and video equipment for events and live webinars.
Support equipment setup for both online and offline live stream broadcasts to ensure high-quality video and audio output.
Ensure all technical equipment is properly configured prior to events to smooth technical operations.
Monitor live broadcasts and events closely to ensure technical quality and smooth execution.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly during live events or webinars.
Remain proactive and alert in identifying potential technical risks before they impact the event.
Create and manage virtual set designs for green screen productions, ensuring visually appealing and realistic backgrounds aligned with company standards.
Assist in planning AV layouts and technical schematics for both physical and virtual events.
Coordinate and manage all AV requirements across events, including sound, lighting, video, and projection systems.
Work closely with event managers, production teams, and external vendors to ensure AV needs are met.
Communicate technical requirements clearly to support smooth event execution.
Maintain, organize, and manage AV equipment and inventory.
Ensure equipment is properly packed, maintained, and stored after events.
Support post-event wrap-up, including equipment maintenance and documentation of technical feedback for future improvements.
Stay up to date with emerging technology trends and innovations in broadcasting and event production.
Always prepare contingency plans and backup solutions to mitigate potential technical interruptions.
Contribute to Overall Event and Department Success
Support the collection and organization of event data, including preparing post-event reports and compiling metrics for the department KPI tracker
Manage event logistics including setting up recordings, generating Zoom links, and uploading content to internal platforms or apps
Perform basic editing of photos and videos to support community engagement and marketing efforts
Proactively identify and implement digital initiatives to enhance the overall event experience
Support the Community Manager for ad-hoc tasks
Requirements
Minimum 3 years of experience in AV & event
Strong project management and organisational skills
Proven experience managing large-scale, high-profile events
Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple events simultaneously
Willingness to work flexible hours when required for events
