Aventura Mall Train Conductor (Seasonal)

POSITION SUMMARY

The Train Conductor helps create a welcoming and memorable experience for guests visiting the model train at Aventura Mall. The model train operates from November through January. This seasonal position focuses on friendly customer service, guest assistance, and support for daily model train operations. The ideal candidate enjoys interacting with guests of all ages, communicates clearly, uses sound judgment, and works well as part of a team in a busy mall environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Welcome guests visiting the model train and provide friendly, attentive customer service

· Answer guest questions and explain model train activities, operating guidelines, and guest expectations

· Assist guests and families, helping create a positive and enjoyable visit

· Monitor guest flow around the model train, help keep the area orderly, and promptly report safety concerns

· Communicate clearly in English with guests, team members, and other mall departments

· Share accurate information about Aventura Mall facilities, services, and the surrounding area

· Support daily model train operations as assigned and trained, and help keep the guest area clean and organized

· Use basic computer systems as needed for daily operations and communication

· Collaborate with colleagues and assist other Customer Service or Concierge Services functions as needed

· Respond to guest concerns with professionalism and empathy, escalating issues when appropriate

QUALIFICATIONS:

· High school diploma or equivalent required

· Customer service, hospitality, retail, recreation, or other guest-facing experience preferred

· Bilingual or multilingual abilities preferred

· Willingness to learn model train operating guidelines, guest service procedures, and safety practices

· Strong customer service, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills

· Ability to multitask, remain calm during busy periods, and address guest concerns with empathy

· Knowledge of Aventura Mall facilities, services, and the surrounding area preferred

REQUIREMENTS:

· Availability to work during the November–January seasonal operating period, including weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as scheduled

· Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while assisting guests, with or without reasonable accommodation

· Ability to perform assigned daily operational tasks, with or without reasonable accommodation

· Ability to communicate with guests, provide clear instructions, and monitor the guest area, with or without reasonable accommodation

· Willingness to complete required training and follow established operating and safety procedures

· Ability to remain attentive, professional, and guest-focused throughout each shift
