ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Credit Analyst at OakNorth, you will play a key role in evaluating and structuring loan opportunities across a range of sectors and geographies. Reporting into the Credit team, you will produce high-quality credit analysis and financial models that directly support OakNorth's mission to back the UK's most ambitious businesses.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Conduct detailed analysis of loan opportunities across various sectors and geographies

  • Draft concise, well-structured credit reports with clear takeaways for credit and risk teams to review

  • Develop detailed financial models covering transaction details, financial statement analysis, projections, ratio analysis and credit metrics

  • Conduct sensitivity and stress-testing analysis on projections to assess loan serviceability

  • Identify deal-specific covenants that can serve as early warning signals during loan monitoring

  • Carry out in-depth industry and market studies to understand the operating environment of borrowers

  • Interact directly with clients to discuss data gaps, inconsistencies and analytical frameworks



YOU'LL BE A GREAT FIT IF YOU HAVE…

  • Strong financial analysis skills with a thorough understanding of accounting and financial concepts

  • Proven ability to draft clear, compelling credit reports

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in credit, lending or financial analysis

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with Debt Directors, clients and other stakeholders

  • An MBA, PGDM, CA or CFA qualification from a reputed institute
