AVP, Full Stack Engineer, Wealth Management Technology, Group Technology
Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, and delivery of full-stack applications supporting portfolio and wealth management capabilities, including:
- Product Recommendation
- Case Management
- Investment and Insurance Fulfilment Journeys
- Financial Objectives and Needs Analysis
Work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, architects, and partner teams to translate business requirements into scalable and maintainable technology solutions.
Drive end-to-end delivery within the squad, ensuring high-quality implementation, timely execution, and alignment with architectural and engineering standards.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of full-stack engineers, supporting solution design, code reviews, technical problem-solving, and delivery execution.
Collaborate with architects and engineering leads to implement microservices and micro-frontend based solutions that support evolving business needs.
Promote engineering best practices across software development lifecycle, including code quality, testing, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
Support application deployment and operational readiness using cloud-native platforms such as OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) and related technologies.
Partner with cross-functional teams to manage dependencies, resolve delivery challenges, and ensure successful implementation of business initiatives.
Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and technical excellence.
Evaluate and adopt AI-assisted development tools and emerging technologies to improve engineering productivity and delivery effectiveness.
Requirements
Proven experience building and delivering enterprise-scale full-stack applications using:
- Java
- Spring Boot
- ReactJS
Strong understanding of microservices architecture, distributed systems, and micro-frontend design patterns.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and deployment platforms such as OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) or equivalent cloud-native environments.
Experience leading engineering squads and coordinating delivery across multiple stakeholders, teams, and business functions.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to balance technical considerations, business priorities, and delivery timelines.
Domain knowledge in one or more of the following areas:
- Wealth and Portfolio Management
- Investment Products
- Insurance Products
- Financial Planning Solutions
Understanding of Bancassurance business processes and experience integrating with insurance partners is advantageous.
Experience with workflow platforms such as Activiti, Camunda, or similar BPM solutions is preferred.
Exposure to AI-assisted coding tools and modern software engineering practices is an advantage.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and business teams.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
