Background
- 8+ years of experience in technology organisations, experience with startups at any stage of the career is a plus.
- Experience building great engineering teams
- Full stack development experience. Experience with big data stack is a must.
- Experience building enterprise-grade stack and platforms.
- Solid Computer Science background.
- Demonstrated attention to detail, and the ability to define and drive engineering best practices.
Role
Oversees all technical aspects and technological resources of the product engineering organization for the purpose of organisational growth. Product engineering org is responsible for driving company’s core product strategy. Establish a technological vision for the organisation and leads the company's technological development. Build, lead, and mentor a kickass engineering team.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end product development cycles within the organization
- Build, lead, and mentor the product engineering org within the company
- Drive strong engineering and technology culture within the organization
- Define and design deployment strategies, product maintenance, upgrade cycles.
- Define and design SLA’s and disaster recovery for product offerings
- Conduct research to improve the technological capabilities of the company
- Works with other orgs within the company to use new technologies to streamline engineering and development policies and rules, coding standards.
- Evaluate new technology and make recommendations on technological solutions
