AWS Cloud Engineer

Summary

Designs, deploys, and manages AWS cloud infrastructure and containerized workloads, using EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation, Docker, ECS, EKS, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Terraform, and Ansible.

  • Design and implement cloud infrastructure solutions across compute, storage, networking, and security.
  • Deploy, configure, and manage AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, and CloudFormation.
  • Support cloud migration projects, including assessment, planning, execution, and validation.
  • Implement and manage containerized workloads using Docker, ECS, and Kubernetes (EKS).
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automation scripts using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Terraform, or Ansible.
  • Collaborate with Solution Architects to align delivery with design principles and customer requirements.
  • Document solutions, processes, and configurations for knowledge sharing and standardization.

Technical Skills and Requirements:

  • Experience Level: 5–8 years in IT infrastructure or cloud engineering, with at least 3 years of direct AWS project delivery.
  • Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or Professional required. Additional AWS certifications (SysOps Administrator, DevOps Engineer, Security Specialty) preferred.
  • Cloud Expertise: Strong hands‑on experience with AWS services across compute, storage, networking, security, and monitoring.
  • Infrastructure as Code: Proficient in Terraform, CloudFormation, or other automation frameworks.
  • Containers & Orchestration: Skilled in Docker and Kubernetes (EKS preferred).
  • Monitoring & Logging: Hands‑on with AWS CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and third‑party monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.
