AWS DevOps Engineer
Summary
An AWS DevOps Engineer in Kuala Lumpur who designs, automates, and supports cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines across AWS (and Azure), builds Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and CloudFormation, containerizes workloads with Docker, and optimizes multi-account AWS environments for security and cost.
We are looking for an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer to design, automate, and support cloud infrastructure and CI/CD solutions across AWS and other hyperscale cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in AWS, Terraform, CloudFormation, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, and DevSecOps.
Key responsibilities
Design, build, and deploy CI/CD pipelines across AWS/Azure and other cloud environments.
Participate in AWS account onboarding, configuration, and IAM controls.
Design and implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and CloudFormation.
Develop automation for software deployment, testing, infrastructure provisioning, and operational activities.
Build and maintain Dockerfiles and container images.
Implement standards, processes, and controls for release and deployment activities.
Manage and support multi-account AWS environments.
Work closely with application teams to adopt DevSecOps, cloud, automation, and continuous delivery practices.
Monitor and optimize AWS environments for performance, reliability, security, and cost efficiency.
Identify AWS cost optimization / FinOps opportunities.
About you
5+ years of hands-on experience in AWS and DevOps.
3+ years of hands-on experience with Terraform and CloudFormation, particularly for Infrastructure as Code.
2+ years of experience in cloud-based DevOps practices.
Strong hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, IAM, CloudWatch, RDS, QuickSight, and AWS Operations.
Strong experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation.
Experience with Python development/scripting.
Experience with Docker and containerization.
Experience with developer and build tools such as Git, SVN, and Maven.
Good knowledge of UNIX/Linux environments.
Experience managing multi-account AWS deployments.
