AWS DevOps Engineer
Summary
The AWS DevOps Engineer will manage and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure, build CI/CD pipelines, and automate systems using Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes. The role involves collaborating with development teams in an Agile environment to ensure secure and efficient platform operations.
- Infrastructure Management: Manage, improve, and maintain CLIENT’s existing AWS cloud infrastructure and platform solutions.
- Automation & CI/CD: Streamline application deployments, build and optimize deployment pipelines, and enhance overall system automation.
- PaaS Optimization: Optimize existing Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) solutions while adhering strictly to CLIENT corporate guidelines and security best practices.
- Collaboration: Partner daily with software developers and operations teams to resolve bottlenecks and act as a reliable service provider within a centralized platform team.
- Agile Participation: Work actively within an Agile environment (Scrum or Kanban), engaging in iterative delivery and close feedback loops.
- Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of professional experience in a DevOps role, with a strong, dedicated focus on the AWS ecosystem.
- AWS Cloud Services: Hands-on experience deploying and managing services including EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, Lambda, ECS, and EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service).
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): High proficiency in Terraform for provisioning and managing cloud infrastructure.
- CI/CD Tools: Strong experience setting up and maintaining pipelines using GitHub/GitHub Actions and GitLab CI.
- Containerization: Practical, hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes orchestration.
- Scripting: Strong scripting skills in Python or Bash for automation task development.
- Networking & Security: Solid understanding of core networking concepts (subnets, routing, firewalls) and cloud security best practices.
