AWS DevOps Engineer (Night Shift)
Summary
A night-shift DevOps engineer managing Macquarie Group's AWS-based cloud platform and Confluent Kafka services — handling operational support, incident management, on-call, and disaster recovery while driving automation and platform reliability.
You will play a key role in managing and supporting cloud infrastructure and platform services, with a particular focus on AWS and Confluent Kafka. Working closely with platform tenants and engineering teams, you will provide operational support, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the reliability, performance and security of critical systems.
You will monitor and optimise platform performance, participate in incident management and on-call support, and contribute to disaster recovery and business continuity initiatives. You will also help design and implement scalable cloud solutions, onboard new technologies, and evaluate emerging tools that support future business needs. As part of a collaborative engineering team, you will drive automation, improve operational processes, and contribute to the continuous evolution of the central platform.
