Summary:
The Infrastructure Project Architect plays a pivotal role in leading the migration of the private data center estate to Microsoft Azure, ensuring technical program management and infrastructure integrity throughout the transition process.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver the full migration of private data center workloads, including Microsoft Windows VMs and Microsoft SQL Server databases into Azure.

  • Drive delivery across all infrastructure streams, covering networks, firewalls, storage, and Azure landing zones.

  • Coordinate technical teams, architects, Agile squads, and product owners to ensure alignment and timely delivery.

  • Maintain execution momentum, remove blockers, and ensure team productivity.

  • Provide leadership, ownership, and hands-on direction throughout the program life cycle.

  • Participate in technical discussions on network configurations and migration strategies.

  • Manage migration waves and workload sequencing while ensuring operational readiness.

  • Align project goals with business objectives through effective stakeholder management.

Key Requirements:

  • 10+ years of hands-on engineering experience in networking, infrastructure, systems, or cloud engineering.

  • Proven experience in migrating Microsoft Windows VMs and SQL Server databases to Azure.

  • Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, compute, storage, and networking.

  • Leadership experience in large-scale data center migration programs.

  • Expertise in Agile methodologies and project management tools.

  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
