About the role
Sestra People Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer with strong experience using Terraform to join our client's team. This is a strategic role based in Melbourne, offering the opportunity to design, implement, and manage an Azure Cloud platfrom from the ground up.
What you'll be doing
Design and implement Azure cloud infrastructure solutions that align with business requirements and architectural best practices
Deploy, configure, and maintain Azure services, including virtual machines, App Services, databases, and networking components
Manage cloud security, compliance, and identity and access management within Azure environments
Monitor and optimise cloud infrastructure performance, cost, and resource utilisation
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Azure services and cloud deployments
What we're looking for
Azure certification
5 years + Proven experience designing and deploying Azure cloud infrastructure solutions in production environments
Strong understanding of cloud networking, including virtual networks, load balancing, and security groups
4 years + Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform
Knowledge of Azure storage solutions, databases, and data management services
Familiarity with containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
Understanding of identity management and security best practices in cloud environments
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to work independently
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within diverse teams
Experience with DevOps practices and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines is highly desirable
