Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Azure Data Engineer with strong expertise in data engineering, API development, and Kubernetes-based deployments. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain scalable data platforms on Azure, build secure APIs for data integration, and manage containerized workloads using Kubernetes. The role requires hands-on experience with Azure data services, cloud-native architectures, and CI/CD practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines on Microsoft Azure.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs for data ingestion, integration, and consumption.
• Develop data processing solutions using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, or related Azure services.
• Deploy, manage, and monitor applications and data workloads on Kubernetes (AKS).
• Integrate data from multiple sources including APIs, databases, and external systems.
• Implement data quality, governance, security, and performance best practices.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and infrastructure management.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, and business stakeholders to deliver data-driven solutions.
• Troubleshoot production issues and optimize cloud infrastructure costs.

Kubernetes & DevOps

• Kubernetes (AKS preferred)
• Docker Containers
• Helm Charts
• CI/CD using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)

Programming & Data

• SQL and Data Modeling
• Python, Java, or C#
• Spark/PySpark
• Data Warehousing Concepts

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with event-driven architectures using Azure Event Hub or Kafka.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture.
• Azure Certifications such as:
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-203)
  • Azure Developer Associate
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
