Azure Data Engineer
Summary
Build and maintain Azure-based data pipelines and analytics solutions for enterprise clients at a technology consultancy. Day-to-day work spans ETL/ELT development with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse Analytics and Data Lake Storage, coding in Python/SQL/Scala, and client-facing collaboration.
Salary: £60,000 - 60,000 per year
Requirements:- Strong experience with Microsoft Azure Data Engineering
- Hands-on expertise with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse Analytics and Data Lake Storage
- Development experience in Python, Scala or SQL
- Knowledge of data modelling and analytics solutions
- Excellent communication skills and experience working in a client-facing environment
- A proactive approach and strong problem-solving skills
- Design, develop and maintain data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks
- Build data models and analytics solutions using Synapse Analytics and Azure Data Lake Storage
- Develop and optimise ETL/ELT processes
- Work directly with clients to understand requirements and deliver robust data solutions
- Troubleshoot data issues and ensure solutions are secure, scalable and high-performing
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical best practices
