Azure Data Engineer

We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable integration solutions using Azure services, including Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, and Python-based scripting. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to create efficient, robust, and scalable data pipelines, APIs, and business processes within the Azure cloud ecosystem.

What you'll do

• Build, maintain and enhance integrations between core internal tools (CRM, ERP, People Management tool etc.), working with Logic Apps, Data Factory and API-driven workflows to connect production data with downstream systems.

• Contribute to running and evolving our Analytical data platform end to end, from ingestion through transformation, modelling and serving across batch and real-time data flows.

• Build reliable, observable solutions with data quality checks, monitoring, alerting, idempotent pipelines, backfill capabilities and repair tooling to minimize manual intervention.

• Design and maintain governed semantic models that serve analytics, production insights, commercial reporting, billing and reconciliation, customer health and operational decision-making.

• Work directly with stakeholders across the company to identify where data creates value and translate ambiguous problems into concrete, valuable use cases. You won't wait for finished specifications.

• Improve how we build, deploy and operate the platform, including thoughtful use of AI to enhance engineering velocity and data quality.

• 5+ years of data engineering experience.

• Extensive hands-on experience in developing integrations between core Business Applications (CRM, ERP etc.) through Azure Logic Apps and Data Factory.

• Strong proficiency with SQL and a data-engineering language (e.g., Python), plus pipeline/orchestration tools.

Who you are

• You have built and run orchestrated data pipelines at scale in production. Azure Logic Apps and Azure Data Factory.

• You have substantial experience building and operating data platforms, with advanced analytical understanding, paired with strong SQL experience.

• You have worked meaningfully with Azure cloud services, ideally including Data Lake Storage, Synapse Analytics, and Databricks.

• You have experience of working with data lakes, data warehouses and complex dimensional or semantic models.

• You think operationally and design for long-term reliability, data quality, performance and cost efficiency—especially important in multi-tenant environments.

• You have owned end-to-end responsibility for production data systems and work effectively independently within a small senior team.

• You use AI tools pragmatically in your engineering work and have the technical depth to evaluate their output critically.

• You communicate clearly and leave code, pipelines and technical decisions understandable for the people who maintain them next.

Bonus if you have experience with

• Databricks, or advanced SQL analytics platforms.

• Azure Logic Apps, Data Factory, Service Bus, Event Hubs or other Azure integration services.

• Building multi-tenant data architectures or customer data platforms.

• Real-time data streaming and event-driven workflows.

• Media, broadcast, ad tech, or other complex commercial data domains.

• Integrating with third-party SaaS platforms or APIs at scale.

• Migrating or decommissioning legacy data systems.
