Summary
Build and maintain Azure’s data orchestration and cloud infrastructure, using Airflow, Databricks, Terraform, and AKS to keep pipelines reliable and secure.

Job Summary / Key Skills
- Maintain, enhance and optimise the Apache Airflow platform to ensure stability, reliability and scalability for the Enablement Team.
- Design and implement secure, resilient and scalable Azure cloud infrastructure and networking aligned to Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability (CIA) principles.
- Manage and automate cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and CI/CD best practices.
- Monitor platform health, security, performance and cloud spend using Azure Monitor, Grafana and Microsoft Defender for Cloud, driving continuous improvements.
- Collaborate closely with Data Engineers, Data Architects, Enterprise Architects and Cloud teams to deliver a secure, scalable modern data platform.
- Lead incident management, troubleshooting, root cause analysis and disaster recovery planning to ensure high platform availability.
- Mentor engineers on cloud engineering, platform operations and Azure best practices.
- Strong experience designing, deploying and supporting Azure cloud infrastructure, networking, security and identity (Microsoft Entra ID/IAM).
- Expertise administering Azure Databricks and Apache Airflow in production environments.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and automation using Python, PowerShell or Bash.
- Strong Kubernetes (AKS), platform engineering and cloud operations experience.
- Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using Git, Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions.
- Knowledge of monitoring and observability using Grafana, Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.
- Experience optimising Azure environments for reliability, security, governance and cost (FinOps).
