Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Senior Data Engineer with 4–7 years of hands-on experience in Azure Data Engineering to join our Azure Data Platform Team.

The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Azure Data Services, Python, PySpark, SQL, ETL/ELT pipelines, and data warehouse design. The role involves building scalable data pipelines, integrating multiple data sources, optimizing data processing, and ensuring data quality, security, and governance.

Mandatory Skills

• 4–7 years of relevant experience in Azure Data Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure Data Services.
• Azure Data Factory (ADF).
• Azure Databricks and PySpark.
• Python programming and advanced SQL.
• Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS).
• Azure Synapse Analytics.
• Azure SQL Database.
• ETL/ELT pipeline development and data integration.
• Data warehouse design, data modeling, data lakes, and big data concepts.
• Database normalization, query optimization, and performance tuning.
• Data quality, governance, privacy, and security.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Azure Logic Apps and Azure Functions.
• Azure Stream Analytics.
• Microsoft Purview and data governance tools.
• Snowflake or SAP BW.
• Exposure to machine learning algorithms and model training.
• Terraform and ARM Templates.
• Azure DevOps.
• Azure Monitoring and Alerting.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, deploy, and maintain scalable Azure-based data pipelines.
• Build ETL/ELT workflows to integrate data from multiple sources.
• Develop data transformation solutions using Python, PySpark, and SQL.
• Work with ADF, Azure Databricks, ADLS, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure SQL Database.
• Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
• Optimize pipelines, SQL queries, and data processing performance.
• Ensure data quality, security, governance, privacy, and compliance.
• Troubleshoot production issues and ensure reliable data delivery.
• Maintain technical documentation for pipelines, data models, and integrations.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, data architects, data owners, and cross-functional teams.
• Independently deliver and support production-grade data engineering solutions.
