Azure DevOps Admin

Zensar Technologies Limited is looking for an Azure DevOps expert to join our team and drive the adoption of Azure Test Plans. As an Azure DevOps Admin, you will play a crucial role in enabling our QA and project teams to utilize Azure Test Plans effectively. Your responsibilities will include configuring the test management structure, setting up user access and permissions, and providing guidance on best practices. This role requires strong communication skills to collaborate with customer stakeholders and document configuration decisions.

• Configure Azure Test Plans within the customer's Azure DevOps tenant, ensuring a seamless integration with their existing processes.
• Set up project-level configurations, including defining teams, area paths, iteration paths, and security groups, to align with the customer's requirements.
• Manage user access, licensing, and role-based permissions for QA and project teams, granting them the necessary access to perform their tasks efficiently.
• Enable permissions for creating and managing test plans, test suites, test cases, test configurations, and test runs, empowering the QA teams to execute their testing strategies effectively.
• Define and implement best practices for using Azure Test Plans, ensuring a standardized and efficient testing approach across the organization.
• Troubleshoot and resolve access, visibility, and permission-related issues, providing timely support to the customer's teams.
• Prepare comprehensive configuration documentation, including step-by-step guides and handover materials, to facilitate knowledge transfer and future reference.
• Collaborate closely with customer stakeholders, understanding their specific needs and requirements, and documenting configuration decisions for future reference.
• Stay updated with the latest Azure DevOps features and best practices, continuously improving the configuration and performance of the Azure Test Plans environment.
• Provide basic training and support to the customer's team, ensuring they are comfortable with the Azure Test Plans interface and can leverage its full potential.

• Minimum 10 years of experience in Azure DevOps administration and configuration, with a proven track record in successfully setting up and managing Azure Test Plans.
• In-depth understanding of Azure DevOps users, groups, permissions, access levels, and project settings, ensuring a secure and controlled environment.
• Strong knowledge of QA/test management processes, including test plans, suites, cases, execution, and defect tracking, enabling efficient test management.
• Experience with Azure Boards, work item configuration, and process customization, allowing for tailored solutions to meet specific project needs.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD group-based access, ensuring a secure and efficient user access management system.
• Exposure to test management tool migration or integration with CI/CD pipelines, demonstrating the ability to handle complex testing environments.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with customer stakeholders and provide clear documentation.
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities, capable of troubleshooting access, visibility, and permission-related issues promptly.
• Strong attention to detail, ensuring accurate and thorough configuration of Azure Test Plans and related components.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, demonstrating excellent time management and organizational skills.
