Summary

Salary: $130.00 - $150.00 p/hr inc. Super + weekly pays
- NV1 Security clearance required
- 12+12+12 month contract
- 2 days WFH after 6 months

Our client, a national criminal intelligence agency, require the services of multiple Azure DevOps Engineer (AP6 & EL1 equivalent). This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining secure Azure cloud platforms and services that support critical national security efforts.
Responsibilities of the Azure DevOps Engineer:
- Implementing technical solutions in cloud to facilitate migration of applications;
- Leveraging experience with cloud native tools to review metrics and monitor the health/utilisation of agency’s cloud services;
- Develop and automate infrastructure deployment using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Ansible, Powershell, Terraform, and YAML.
- Setting direction for use of Azure role-based access control (Azure RBAC), Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Administrator protection strategy and Azure policy to govern Azure resources;
- Ensuring that Azure deployments are secure and compliant with industry and regulatory standard, the primary work focus will be infrastructure work that improves NCIS security posture.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience applying DevOps principles within complex data and analytics platforms;
- Strong hands-on expertise in Azure Cloud Administration, including Azure DevOps/DevSecOps practices;
- Proficient in Linux administration supporting Java applications;
- Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining IaC scripts using Ansible/Powershell/Terraform/YAML;
- Desirable: Experience with web application development and Kubernetes.
