Azure Engineer
East Melbourne / Hybrid
3month contract with potential extension
We're seeking an experienced Azure Engineer to support the delivery of a large-scale cloud, data and AI initiative within a Microsoft technology environment.
This is a hands-on role focused on building and operationalising Azure-based solutions, data pipelines, automation and AI-enabled workflows. You'll work closely with architecture and platform teams to implement an established solution and help transition it into ongoing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy Azure-based solutions and services.
- Build and support data processing and automation pipelines.
- Implement AI-enabled workflows and integrations.
- Configure and manage cloud storage, metadata and governance controls.
- Develop supporting applications and automation components.
- Produce technical documentation and operational handover materials.
Required Skills
- Strong Microsoft Azure engineering experience.
- Experience with Azure AI services and/or Azure AI Foundry.
- Microsoft Fabric experience.
- Azure Storage and data platform experience.
- Python and/or PySpark development skills.
- Experience with automation, integrations and serverless technologies.
- Ability to work independently in a delivery-focused environment.
Desirable
- Power Platform experience (Power Apps).
- Microsoft Purview or information governance exposure.
- Experience in regulated or compliance-driven environments.
- Exposure to AI, document processing, or data classification solutions.
