B2G Sales Manager, North America
About Stark
Stark builds the world’s most powerful electric motorcycles. From the VARG MX to the road-legal VARG EX & SM, our bikes have won world championships and are engineered to outperform anything with a combustion engine.
We’re based in Sant Boi, Barcelona, growing fast (77% year-on-year), and building a team that will take us even further. If you want to work on a product that people are genuinely obsessed with, this is it.
Stark will become the global market leader in premium motorcycles. Building premium motorcycles requires innovation and we need your help to make us succeed.
Our mission is to lead the way towards a sustainable motorcycle industry, by reducing plastic and CO2 pollution. This will be achieved by building sustainable products that are superior to traditional technology in terms of Performance, Emotion and Design.
The Role
We are looking for a B2G Sales Manager to own Stark’s government and defence business across North America, with the U.S. Armed Forces as the primary focus.
This role owns the full sales cycle, from first contact through trial, evaluation and contract award. You will act as the bridge between demanding institutional customers and our engineering and product teams in Barcelona, and you will be the face of Stark inside the U.S. defence community.
This is a remote, field-based role. You can be located anywhere in the United States with good access to a major airport, and you should expect 50% or more of your time on the road.
Non-negotiables for this role
Direct, hands-on experience selling to the U.S. Armed Forces.
An established, active and verifiable network within the U.S. Armed Forces. We will ask you to talk through specific programmes, units and contract awards you personally worked.
A full motorcycle licence and the ability to ride confidently, because you will demo a Skugga yourself in front of end users.
Law enforcement experience is welcome, but it is not a substitute. The procurement path for the U.S. Armed Forces is materially different, and this role is built around that path.
What You’ll Do
Develop and execute sales strategies targeting the U.S. Armed Forces, federal and state government agencies, and related defence institutions across North America.
Identify, qualify and build a pipeline of opportunities with armed forces, special operations units, law enforcement, border agencies and civil-protection bodies.
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders: contracting officers, programme managers, end users, and channel partners such as defence integrators and distributors.
Navigate complex public procurement processes, including federal contract vehicles, solicitations, set-asides and the compliance obligations specific to government and defence contracts.
Plan and run product demonstrations, field trials and evaluation programmes with military and government end users, riding the bikes yourself.
Identify opportunities for collaboration and product customisation to meet the unique operational needs of defence customers, and feed structured requirements back to our product and engineering teams.
Represent Stark at defence industry events, exhibitions and trade shows, and act as an ambassador for the brand within the defence community.
Maintain accurate pipeline data and forecasts in the CRM, and report regularly on territory performance against targets.
What you will bring to Stark
A proven track record in B2G sales, preferably in defence, security or adjacent industries such as vehicles, equipment or dual-use technology.
Strong understanding of U.S. government procurement processes, contract mechanics and the regulatory landscape around defence sales, including export-control awareness.
Exceptional communication, presentation and negotiation skills, comfortable engaging everyone from an operator in the field to a general officer or programme executive.
The ability to work independently and strategically, and to own a territory number.
Willingness and ability to travel extensively (expect 50% or more of your time on the road) and to obtain security clearances where required.
Full professional proficiency in English.
Nice to Have
Prior military service, or hands-on experience running defence evaluation and trial programmes.
Experience selling vehicles, mobility platforms or hardware with a technical sales cycle.
Knowledge of, or passion for, electric mobility and sustainable technology.
