Backend Java Developer

18-24 month contract

Hands-on experience with Oracle Exadata or JVM performance tuning is required.

Must-Have Skills

• 10+ years of Java development experience with:
• Core Java
• J2EE
• Spring Boot
• Microservices
• Oracle Exadata experience (required; other database experience is not considered a substitute)
• Multithreading / concurrent programming expertise

Job Summary

-Design, develop, and maintain server-side applications using Core Java and related technologies

-Optimize application performance by tuning the Java Virtual Machine (JVM) and analyzing runtime behavior

-Develop and manage multi-threaded (concurrent) applications to ensure high performance and scalability

-Build and execute database interactions using JDBC, Oracle SQL, and PL/SQL (including stored procedures)

-Perform data profiling and processing using backend Java applications integrated with databases

-Work extensively in Linux environments, using shell scripting and command-line tools for development and troubleshooting

-Develop solutions using Java, Python, and shell scripts across the application lifecycle

-Guide and support offshore teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery

-Follow Agile methodology, participating in sprint planning, development, and continuous improvement
