Back-End / Full-Stack Developer

About the role

Sert Technology Inc. is seeking a talented Back-End / Full-Stack Developer to join our growing technology team on a full-time basis. Based in General Trias City, Cavite, this role represents a key position within our software development division. As a Back-End / Full-Stack Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining robust server-side applications and potentially contributing to full-stack solutions. This position is crucial to our ability to deliver high-quality, scalable software solutions to our clients and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop back-end applications and services using industry-standard programming languages and frameworks
• Build and maintain databases, APIs and server-side logic to support application functionality
• Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers and other stakeholders to translate requirements into technical specifications
• Write clean, efficient and well-documented code that adheres to established coding standards and best practices
• Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to fellow developers
• Troubleshoot, debug and resolve technical issues and performance bottlenecks
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from planning and design through testing, deployment and maintenance
• Contribute to full-stack development initiatives where applicable, including front-end integration work
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve development practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure scalability, security and reliability of applications

What we’re looking for

• Proficiency in one or more back-end programming languages such as Java, Python, PHP, Node.js, C#, or Go
• Strong understanding of database design, SQL and experience with relational and non-relational databases
• Solid knowledge of RESTful API design and development
• Experience with version control systems, particularly Git
• Understanding of software design patterns and architectural principles
• Knowledge of server deployment, hosting environments and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud or similar)
• Experience with containerization tools such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes is advantageous
• Familiarity with testing frameworks and test-driven development practices
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Full-stack development experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript and React or Vue.js is preferred
• Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus
