Job Description:
The Back End LSM Mechanic is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of all Machine (LSM) equipment and associated machinery in the back-end production process. This role ensures optimal machine performance, minimizes downtime, and contributes to the overall efficiency and quality of can manufacturing operations.
Job Responsibilities:**
* Perform routine preventive maintenance on LSM Machines, ensuring all components are functioning correctly and efficiently.
* Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues on LSM equipment, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
* Execute repairs, overhauls, and replacements of machine parts, including motors, gears, bearings, sensors, and control systems.
* Conduct regular inspections of LSMs to detect potential problems early and proactively address them to prevent breakdowns.
* Collaborate with production operators and other maintenance staff to optimize machine settings and improve operational efficiency.
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs performed, parts used, and machine performance data.
* Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, ensuring a safe working environment.
* Assist in the installation and commissioning of new LSM equipment and upgrades.
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing machine reliability and reducing maintenance costs.
Job Qualifications:**
* High School Diploma or equivalent; a technical diploma or certification in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance is highly preferred.
* Proven experience (minimum 1-2 years) as a maintenance mechanic, specifically with LMS Machines or similar high-speed industrial machinery in a manufacturing environment.
* Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical circuits.
* Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
* Proficiency in using various hand and power tools, as well as diagnostic equipment.
* Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required by production schedules.
* Physical ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work in various environmental conditions.
