Luxoft is hiring a back-end Java developer in Singapore for a data centre migration project for a banking client. Day to day involves building Java/Spring Boot microservices and handling DevOps work: monitoring and alerting, CI/CD pipelines, containerization with Kubernetes/Podman, and cloud deployment on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Project description
We're seeking an experienced Java Developer with DevOps/Infrastructure knowledge to join Data Centre Migration Project for one of our Banking Customer.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Java-based applications and microservices.
- Design and deploy monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.
- Ensure security best practices are followed throughout all stages of development and deployment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, test, and production environments.
- Collaborate with software engineers, QA analysts, and product teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in Java development and DevOps.
SKILLS
Must have
- 7+ years of overall experience
- Java Development - Strong backend Java skills in Microservices, Spring Boot, Collections, Low Latency, Multithreading, and Concurrency
- Infrastructure & DevOps
- Good Understanding of: - Deployment processes and how to deploy code to servers - Server connectivity and management - Basic system resource management (RAM, CPU allocation) - Containerization (Kubernetes, Podman) - Pipeline creation and CI/CD processes - Experience in AWS/Azure/Google Cloud

• Banking domain experience • Financial markets background and worked on trading systems
