Backend & Android Developer
Summary
A hybrid role building native Android applications in Kotlin/Java and Java/Spring Boot backend services with RESTful APIs, integrating the mobile and server sides end to end. Day to day includes coding, debugging and performance tuning, code reviews, and collaboration with QA and developers.
We are looking for a versatile Android & Backend Developer to join our software development team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in native Android application development and backend development, with the ability to build, integrate, and maintain end-to-end software solutions.
Job Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain native Android applications.
Develop and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs.
Integrate Android applications with backend services.
Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code.
Collaborate with QA engineers, developers, and other team members.
Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application and backend performance.
Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
Requirements
2–3 years of professional software development experience.
Hands-on experience in native Android development using Kotlin and/or Java.
Experience with Android SDK and Android application architecture.
Backend development experience using Java and Spring Boot.
Good understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
Experience with databases and SQL.
Good understanding of OOP and software design principles.
Familiarity with Git and version control.
Experience with MVVM architecture is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Spring Boot and Spring Data.
Knowledge of Android Jetpack components.
Experience with Docker and cloud technologies.
Familiarity with CI/CD practices.
Experience working in Agile development environments
