Backend Dev for Internal Tools with AI

Music & Lights Srl is seeking a software developer to join the IT department at the Minturno HQ, working on backend-heavy internal applications, APIs and AI-enhanced features. You will collaborate across departments, integrate with ERP and company systems, and support users while maintaining code quality.

The role emphasizes digitalising business processes, AI-assisted tooling, and occasional travel within Italy and abroad (~10%).

Develop and maintain internal applications with backend development in PHP and SQL database design. Build application interfaces with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for usability. Integrate applications with the company management system and other internal systems, designing APIs and data flows. Analyze business processes with departments to turn them into process-specific software. Integrate AI features into applications, including assistants on internal data and document handling. Use AI tools to speed up development, code review and testing. Ensure quality and maintainability: version control, testing and documentation. Provide technical support and gather feedback for improvements. 1-3 years of experience in software development, mainly backend. Proficient in PHP and JavaScript. Web development: HTML and CSS. Knowledge of SQL and design of relational databases (Microsoft SQL Server, MariaDB). Experience with REST APIs for integration between systems. Version control with Git. Experience integrating with ERP or company management systems. Familiarity with Linux environments, Docker and release automation. Hardware fault diagnosis and troubleshooting. Professional use of AI tools for development (Claude Code, Codex). English at B1 level, for technical documentation and liaising with suppliers and international teams.
